It’s not about the amount you give. You don’t have to feel like ‘I can only do a dollar’ because every little bit counts and every dollar we give adds up. [Read Christina’s full interview]
At AltaMed, our employees stand by our mission of providing quality care without exception to the patients and communities we serve.
About AltaMed Gives
Employees in Action!
The Employee Giving Committee (EGC) has launched! AltaMed GIVES is proud to report that the first EGC meeting took place on July 20th and was attended by 16 employees. The EGC is diverse in its representation of AltaMed and includes individuals from the primary care clinics, PACE, Finance, HR, Communications, Workforce Development and more. Each member on the committee brings a different perspective on how we can better serve AltaMed’s patients/participants.
During the first meeting, our members participated in a lively discussion. They reviewed the proposed committee charter and approved. They also voted to create an Immediate Needs Fund however guidelines still need to be established. While the committee is eager to move forward with developing programs, it is clear that many factors need to be considered before final decisions are made.
The committee is working hard to create a plan which maximizes dollars pledged while ensuring quality and impactful programs are established that help create meaningful change within our communities. Any employee can visit the Development page on Townsquare to review the meeting agenda, minutes, and supporting documentation. The next EGC meeting is scheduled for August 17, 2017.

Why I Choose to Give
“I give because often patients need more than just medical care. Sometimes they need essential living things such as adequate housing, food, and shelter, that affects their health. Giving through our AltaMed GIVES program will help meet our patient’s needs in the community.” -Dr. Jorge Galdamez, Medical Director Santa Ana Bristol
